Gadjo Manouche was established in Zagreb, Croatia in February 2008. as a trio which consisted of two guitars (Krešimir Tomic - Bonzo, Ivan Grgic - Špiro) and a double bass (Mario Zuvela). After a year another guitarist (Luka Nekic) joins the group as well as clarinetist (Berislav Gavranic), and the band forms a quintett being inspired by the legendary Django Reinhardt´s Hot Club De France. In 2011. Berislav Gavranic leaves the band and another brilliant clarinetist takes his place, Franjo Stojakovic. Also, a violin player, Radovan Bjelajac, joins the same year and the band becomes a sextet. Nevertheless, the band on occasions performs as quartett or quintett.
The band performed in number of venues; clubs, concert halls all over Croatia and abroad. Performance on the streets of major cities is also a way through which these fine musicians share their music, and promote this style, inovated by virtuosos Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli.
